Navigating the ever-changing world of Digital Marketing can be challenging. Fortunately, there is a range of tools out there to help you or your team stay on top of your game and play an integral role, helping you be more productive, efficient, and strategic.
Here are some of our favourite tools we use to maximise our content:
Canva – Design
Canva is the holy grail for creating images and visuals for everything imaginable. It is an easy-to-use design platform that allows you to create a variety of graphics for your business, from infographics, blog posts, ecards, prints, basically whatever you need. The site features many different templates, allowing you to skip the boring technicals like size and format, but if templates aren’t your thing, you can also build your design from scratch.
The site also has a monthly membership option (Canva Pro), priced at £10.99/mo or £89.99 annually, which unlocks all of its premium features, such as special fonts, pictures, animations, templates & even videos.
Content Studio – Social Media Scheduler
Content studio is an efficient social media management and content marketing tool that allows you to discover, compose and share the best content. It is designed to help businesses with discovering trending content, monitoring competitor content, managing multiple social media networks, publishing content on blogs and collaborating within teams. You can connect all of your social media to the platform, and manage/upload your content all in one place. It also has great content analysis tools, allowing you to track what posts have received the most engagement.
Ahrefs – SEO Tools & Research to Boost Search Traffic
Ahrefs is the gold standard when it comes to brainstorming keyword ideas and opportunities to rank. It is an SEO software suite that contains tools for link building, keyword research, competitor analysis, rank tracking and site audits.
It has a range of educational materials and a series of videos covering everything SEO and keywords, so you’re well versed on getting your content ranked highly and seen by as many people as possible.
Google Trends
Google Trends is a website by Google that analyses the popularity of top search queries in Google Search across various regions and languages. It is quite an overlooked tool, being free to use, users can compare trends and searches, giving you an indication of what people are searching and where.
Hootsuite
Similar to ContentStudio, Hootsuite is a social media management platform with features to help with planning, scheduling, and syndicating social posts. It has a range of features, including automatic scheduling, social media monitoring, performance reporting, basic task management and more. You can manage all of your social media platforms and accounts in one place, and analyse which content has performed best.
Its “Streams” feature lets you easily monitor the different social media channels you’re active on. In your Streams, Hootsuite will show you a constant feed of relevant social media activity, which is a great tool, keeping you up to date on your mentions and only showing you relevant information that you can set up and customise. You can chose to only see posts using certain keywords, hashtags, or posts from specific social media accounts (like influencers or VIP contacts).
